What many people don’t know is that you can hold mortgages registered on title of Canadian real estate within your RRSP. No, this doesn’t mean buying a mutual fund that invests in mortgages or the first time home buyers RRSP plan. There are a few easy steps to set up your RRSP holdings to be ready to invest in Canadian properties of your choosing while your earnings are still within your RRSP and your investment is registered on the title of the property. - Owner (not Landlord)
- If you would like to invest in real estate and would like to take advantage of the many benefits we have discussed such as appreciation, leverage and cash flow, but you don’t have the time or interest to source, analyze, negotiate, repair and manage property. With our experience in real estate you can have your name on title and be a part owner in the property without dealing with any of the headaches commonly associated with being a landlord.
